Opening Modules

Once you are inside a case you will see a list of icons down the left hand side of your screen. This section is called the Module Tray. CAVO contains numerous Modules that perform various functions within the application.

To open a Module, click on the corresponding icon in the Module tray. This will open the module in a new container closest to the tray.

Positioning Modules

To reposition the Module, click on the 6 dot gripper icon located next to the Module name and drag your mouse to the desired location. As you drag, you’ll notice that CAVO shows a green highlighted area to indicate where you would be placing the Module if you were to let go of the mouse. This allows you to be sure of where you are placing the Module.

Note: If an area is highlighted in red, that means there is not enough space to fit the module into that position based upon your current screen resolution or monitor size.

Modules can not only be positioned in split-pane positions, but also as tabs alongside other Modules. Again, CAVO will show a green highlight in the area where a new tab would be to show you that you can place the Module there.

Stacks

CAVO refers to Modules grouped in tabs as “stacks.” You can move a stack of Modules by selecting the triangle gripper in the upper right corner of the container and dragging the cursor to the desired location.

If you click on the blue 3-line button in the top right of a stack, you will see options for closing and moving the currently displayed Module and for closing and moving the entire Stack. Selecting either Close option will return the affected Modules to the Module Tray. Selecting either move option will allow you to pick between splitting the screen or combining with another existing Stack.
